The Newport News Clerk’s Office will be closed from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on May 14, according to a public notice released on May 4.

The closure affects individuals who may need to access the clerk’s office for bankruptcy filings or related matters during that time period.

During the closure, those in need of emergency assistance or information about filing bankruptcy pleadings are directed to contact the Norfolk Clerk’s Office at (757) 222-7500. In-person filings can also be made at the United States Bankruptcy Court, Norfolk Division, located at 600 Granby Street, Suite 400, Norfolk, VA 23510.
