James W. Hundley has been named Interim United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. The appointment was made unanimously by the judges of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, following Title 28, United States Code, Section 546(d). Chief United States District Judge M. Hannah Lauck administered the Oath of Office to Hundley on February 20, 2026, in Richmond, Virginia. The official Order of Appointment is available online.
