The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia announced on March 16 that its CM/ECF electronic filing system will be unavailable from Saturday, March 21, starting at 6:00 a.m., through Sunday, March 22, due to scheduled upgrades. The court expects the upgrades to be completed by 8:00 a.m. on Monday, March 23.

The temporary outage is necessary to allow improvements and maintenance to the court’s electronic case management and filing system. This affects attorneys and parties who rely on CM/ECF for submitting documents electronically during this period.

According to the announcement, users should plan accordingly as they will not have access to file or view documents in the system while the upgrades are underway.

No additional background information was provided regarding the nature of the upgrades or any changes users might expect after completion.

The court advises all users to complete any urgent filings before the scheduled downtime and assures that normal service will resume once maintenance is finished.
