A Bristol, Virginia woman has admitted to lying under oath during a court hearing related to her boyfriend’s supervised release revocation. Blaklee Buchanan, 27, pleaded guilty in federal court in Abingdon to one count of making false material declarations under oath. She could face up to five years in prison at her sentencing scheduled for October 28, 2025.

Court documents reveal that on June 13, 2023, Buchanan testified as a witness in the case of United States v. Bradford Loudy. During her testimony, she denied allegations that Loudy physically assaulted her on March 23, 2023. Despite being asked if Loudy hit her with a sandal or bashed her head against a retaining wall among other accusations, Buchanan consistently responded negatively.

The incident was reportedly witnessed by two others who provided testimony contradicting Buchanan’s statements. When questioned about these witnesses’ accounts, Buchanan claimed they fabricated the story and insisted that Loudy did not assault her.

Acting United States Attorney Zachary T. Lee announced the guilty plea. The prosecution is being handled by Assistant United States Attorney Danielle Stone.
