Attorney General Jason Miyares joined Virginia Rules campers in Norfolk to mark the 21st season of Virginia Rules Camps. The camps are supported by more than $62,000 in grants from the Office of the Attorney General (OAG). These camps, organized with Virginia law enforcement agencies and local community stakeholders, provide young people with a chance to learn about Virginia law while participating in outdoor activities and building relationships with local law enforcement officers.

This year, Attorney General Miyares expanded the number of camp locations from 15 to 25. New locations include Albemarle County, Augusta County, Bluefield, Botetourt County (2 sessions), Bristol, Buena Vista, Chesapeake, Chesterfield County (4 sessions), Dickenson County, Franklin County, Lexington (3 sessions), Newport News, Norfolk, Nottoway County, Petersburg, Pittsylvania County, Prince William County, Radford, Roanoke County, Russell County, Shenandoah County, Stafford County (2 sessions), and Washington County.

Virginia Rules Camp offers traditional summer camp activities such as swimming and hiking alongside lessons on issues like fentanyl dangers and gun violence threats. The program targets rising sixth through ninth graders who benefit from positive experiences during their summer break at no cost to parents.
